At the CSC we undertake high quality basic science which underpins the understanding of human disease. We are based on a site which contains two major teaching hospitals and are therefore ideally placed to work with on-site partners to facilitate translational pull-through of our work. We are also creating new partnerships with colleagues at Imperial College London to exploit multidisciplinary opportunities combining biological sciences with other disciplines, in particular engineering, physics, mathematics and computer science.
