::iPhone First Aid App Available Free

St John Ambulance has officially announced its first aid iPhone app is now free to download. The app, which gives life saving advice, has already proved to be the difference between life and death.

Launched last year, the ‘St John Ambulance First Aid’ app has now been downloaded by nearly 43,000 people. And it seems the new technology has already saved a life, as a mother got in touch to say she was able to give first aid to her choking baby, thanks to the app.

As well as advice for dealing with major emergencies, such as choking or heart attacks, the app also gives useful first aid guidance on how to deal with effects of the cold, such as hypothermia and frost bite.

If you have an iPhone, download the app now so that you have the first aid information you may need to save a life or provide support while waiting for help to arrive. This is particularly important during winter months when ambulance waiting times may be longer.
